The wait is almost over. EA Sports FC 27 begins rolling out on Friday, September 18, with early-access players able to step onto the virtual pitch a full week before the game’s worldwide release.
EA has now confirmed the launch schedule, with Ultimate Edition players in the UK able to start playing from midnight as Thursday turns into Friday.
The Standard Edition follows one week later on September 25.
Football gaming fans wont be sleeping much this weekend.
Players who purchased the EA Sports FC 27 Ultimate Edition can start playing on September 18, with up to seven days of early access before the worldwide launch.
For console players, including PlayStation and Xbox, the game unlocks at midnight local time on September 18.
UK PC players with an eligible edition can also begin playing at midnight BST.
That means anyone staying up late on Thursday night won’t have long to wait before FC 27 officially becomes playable.
EA Play Pro members on PC also receive early access, while regular EA Play subscribers can use a 10-hour trial beginning at 5 am BST on September 18.
When Is The Full FC 27 Release Date?
EA Sports FC 27 releases worldwide on Friday, September 25.
Players who buy the Standard Edition will therefore have to wait another week while Ultimate Edition owners get their clubs underway during the early-access period.
FC 27 is launching across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
Ultimate Team Is Already Underway
For dedicated Ultimate Team players, the new season has effectively already started.
The FC 27 Web App launched on September 16, letting eligible players manage their clubs before gaining access to the full game.
The Companion App followed on September 17.
Once early access begins, players can take their newly created squads onto the pitch and begin the familiar race through Ultimate Team's opening weeks.
EA says FC 27 is changing how progression works in Football Ultimate Team, with a greater emphasis on tradeable rewards and FUT Coins alongside changes to SBCs, Evolutions and campaign upgrades.
The publisher also says it intends to release fewer campaign squads, with a more measured approach to player upgrades, to keep individual cards relevant longer.

FC 27 also introduces The Grounds, a new part of this year's football experience.
The mode sits alongside returning staples including Football Ultimate Team and Career Mode, with EA planning continued updates and new content across the game’s opening seasons.
Career Mode is also part of EA’s post-launch roadmap, with the publisher promising continued improvements and quality-of-life updates after release.
The competition on FC26 rolls over this year to FC27
Licensing remains one of EA Sports FC's biggest strengths.
EA says FC 27 features more than 21,000 players from over 800 clubs and national teams, with more than 130 stadiums and 35 leagues.
Major licensed competitions include the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, Conference League, Women's Champions League and CONMEBOL Libertadores.
The Premier League, Bundesliga and LALIGA EA SPORTS are also among the major domestic competitions represented.
